With this being my first time writing an article for the Lansing Labor News, with many more to come, I hope, I would like to start out by saying thank you to those of you on my e-board and the membership of Local 2256 that have supported and trusted in me as your president of Local 2256.

And I would like to say to those of you who were not supporters or believers or who just didn't know me that I look forward to the opportunity of getting to know you and the challenge of working toward gaining your trust and respect as your president of Local 2256 in the upcoming weeks and months.

With that said, I would like commend and thank each and every one of you, and especially those members of local 2256, for all of their tireless efforts, contributions, and time spent attending the many rallies at our state capitol and others throughout the Mid-Michigan area and Region 1-C in our fight for justice against our own lowdown, backstabbing, devious—“no, wait a minute, he TOLD us up front what he was gonna do to us.”

But anyway, the greedy, selfish, backstabbing Governor of Michigan Rick Snyder and his “trusty Henchmen” (the Republican Party members) and their weak-minded groupies who don't know any better, but they are starting to see the big picture now because it doesn't include most them in it either. (lol).

Also I know I don't have to keep reminding all of you but I will say it anyway: We have to keep doing whatever it takes, and for however long it takes, to continue our fight against the attack on us by Governor Rick Snyder and the Republican Party.

We must not give up the fight, the time is now that we must stand up and show all Michiganders, and the rest of the world if need be, what the words union and solidarity really stand for. We must all try and unite together as one big giant and stomp out this all-out attack on the middle class, the poor and the unions by the greedy, selfish, heartless Governor Snyder and the Republicans who are attacking everything we believe in and everything we stand for.

They are also attacking everything that those before us fought so hard for, and even died for, to make sure that they could have a comfortable and above sub-standard level of living (middle class). So let's all stand tall and proud and continue our hard work in this fight against the attack by Governor Rick Snyder and the Republicans on the middle class, unions and the poor. And remember, brothers and sisters, "united we stand, divided we fall.”
