Greetings Sisters and Brothers, I hope to find you and your loved ones in good health.  Spring is here after a long hard winter.  We have had a very good attendance at our monthly meetings and we always cover plenty of different topics that affect retirees, then we share lunch and enjoy bingo.

At the Wednesday, May 20, 2026, retiree meeting, beginning at 12:00 noon at the UAW Local 602 Union Hall, we will be accepting nominations for the Executive Board election. The vote will be at the Wednesday, June 17, 2026 retiree meeting at 12:00 noon, at the UAW Local 602 Union Hall. You must be a retiree member in good standing to run or vote for any of the positions.

The UAW Local 602 General Elections will be held May 5, 2026, starting at 11:00am through 11:00 am May 6, 2026 (24-hour election).  Please look at that notice in this LLN paper. We are able to run for all positions, except President, Vice President and bargaining and vote for all positions except bargaining. Please come and participate. It is your privilege and duty, do not complain if you do not VOTE.

If you are a member in good standing and are interested in going to Black Lake for May 26-29, 2026, please call the Union hall at 517/372-4626 before April 13, 2026.

UAW Region 1-D 2026 Spring Retirees Euchre Tournaments are as follows: April 17, 2026, in Saginaw at UAW Local 699 Union Hall; April 24, 2026 in Flint at UAW Local 659 Union Hall; May, 1, 2026, Lansing at UAW Local 602 Union Hall; and May 8, 2026, in Grand Rapids at UAW Local 167 Union Hall.  Start time is 10:00am and lunch is provided at no cost.
