Days of Caring August 28-29
|
|
Day of Caring is a traditional United Way volunteer event. It event will take place over two days, Friday, August 28 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, August 29 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
How it works:
• Local non-profits identify project needs for United Way.
• Companies, organizations, and individuals identify their interest in participating in Day of Caring.
• United Way then links companies/volunteers and projects together and manages the process. Examples of projects include; painting, gardening, mailings, book drive, building a playground or storage shed for an agency.
• Teams spend a day working at the project site.
